Material Selection

Pearlitic sphero rollers are formed of spherical graphite and carbide, distributed into pearlitic matrix. Ferritic – pearlitic structure turns into more rigid bainitic structure by increasing alloy elements. It provides fine results for preparation benches under heavy duty, intermediate groups of profile and bar rollers, and finishing benches of profile rollers, due to its toughness quality.
Tensile strength: 45- 60 kg/mm2 Bendingstrength: 75-100 kg/mm2

Acicular sphero rollers provide more hardness compared to pearlitic rollers. Abrasion resistance and strength is higher than pearlitic sphero rollers due to high alloy element percentages such as Cr- Ni- Mo. It has bainitic martensitic matrix. As the hardness increases, the abrasion resistance increases. It provides fine results with rebars of smaller diameters, ribbed rebars, dog bones, slit passes, thin and narrow cross-section sheets, and
finishing passes of thin cross-section profiles.

Alloy steel-based rollers are produced from eutectold steel containing 1,00—2,00 % percent carbon. As the carbon amount increases, the abrasion resistance increases, strength decreases. Hardness profile remains
unchanged through the cross-section. Pearlite granules transform into round shape, by heat treatment and thus increasing the fatigue strength.
